The Michael L. Wendt Memorial Fieldhouse - Sports and Community Center (The Fieldhouse) is a state-of-the-art 60,000 square foot indoor multi-purpose facility with an Astro-Turf field. The Fieldhouse was built with a generous donation from Dick and Nancy Wendt, other members of the Wendt Family, and community members at large to honor Michael Wendt's life. A dedication plaque is located in the Lobby with the names of all those who made this building possible.
For most of the year, the Fieldhouse is divided into 2 enclosed arenas with a basketball court with volleyball and pickleball lines (soon to hopefully be 3 courts) in the back of the building. The Fieldhouse also has a limited-service concession stand, male and female locker rooms with showers, staff office and Board Room, and a second-floor storage area. The 4 outdoor soccer fields and Mike's Fieldhouse are maintained and operated by Basin United Soccer Club.
The Fieldhouse is available for event space rental and has hosted many events ranging from corporate picnics and birthday parties to Cross Fit tournaments and charity auctions. We pride ourselves on working with each client on an individual basis and help make their event a success. No event is too small and we have yet to have one too large for us to handle.
Mike's Fieldhouse is home to Basin United Soccer Club and serves as the Main Office for the Club. During the Fall and Spring Season you will see hundreds and hundreds of local youth participating in the LARGEST YOUTH SPORT in the Basin, with a couple thousand of their friends and family on the sidelines to watch them play.
Mike's Fieldhouse also provides several seasonal Pay-As-You-Play sport programs including, Youth and Adult Basketball, Youth and Adult Volleyball, Indoor Pickleball, Youth and Adult Indoor Soccer, inside the facility during the Winter. We are always open to suggestions on new programs to add. The Fieldhouse also hosts the Oregon Tech Men and Women's Soccer Program, as well as many other local clubs and programs for Winter Training.
